Volunteering with Tamarisk is a meaningful way to provide comfort and companionship to individuals facing terminal illness. To ensure our volunteers are well-prepared, we require all caregivers to complete 12 hours of training before supporting clients and their families. Our training program incorporates insights from area pastors, grief counselors, hospice professionals, caregivers who have benefited from Tamarisk’s services, and our founder, Gretchen Hanson.
