It was under the tamarisk tree that Abraham extended his hospitality without thought for compensation to the three strangers crossing the desert.

Our volunteers are the heart and soul of Tamarisk. Serving the northern metro’s population of persons with life-threatening illness by addressing non-medical needs and providing respite to caregivers is our sole purpose and the reason for Tamarisk’s existence.

We are always on the lookout for committed, passionate friendship volunteers. No matter how many trained volunteers we have, the demand always outstrips the supply of available volunteers. No medical experience is necessary. We need volunteers who are available days and/or evenings and/or weekends.
